Sending Images For Estimates With WindowsHere are step-by-step directions for sending images via email for computers running Windows. This example uses Windows XP®. The steps for Vista and Windows 7® are similar, but the actual screens will look different. Apple users may instead email images from iPhoto using our photos@consignmentheaven.com address. Step 1: Using Windows Explorer, browse to the folder containing the images you wish to send via email. Step 2: Use CTRL+LEFT-CLICK (hold down the CTRL key while single clicking the left mouse button) to select about half a dozen images. The selected images will highlight as shown in the example below: Step 2: Send the images to a mail recipient. For XP, click on File in the menu bar, mouse down to the Send to... command, and finally click Mail Recipient. For Vista and Windows 7, instead right click on one of the selected photos, then choose Send to... followed by Mail Recipient. Here is an example: Step 3: Make the pictures smaller. This choice should be automatically selected. Click the Show More Options link and choose Medium as the target size: Step 4: Finish composing the message and send it to our photos@consignmentheaven.com address. It will be very helpful to include the sequence number (1 of 5, 2 of 5, and so on) in the subject of each email. Please include your telephone number in the body of at least the first email. Note: this last step is performed in Outlook, Outlook Express, Thunderbird, or other email software. Important: these steps may not work when using a web browser to send email. This impacts many AOL, Gmail, Hotmail, and Yahoo users. |
